Canada

The Canada visa application process varies depending on the length and purpose of the stay. Whether it is for studies, vacation, temporary employment or permanent immigration, the steps to follow are well defined. Find below a detailed overview of the steps in the Canada visa application process, along with links to guide applicants.

1. Identification of the type of visa

The type of visa depends on your travel purpose. Canadian visas are classified into several main categories:

– Visitor visa (temporary resident visa): For tourism, family visits, or business travel (valid for up to 6 months).

– Student visa: For those who wish to pursue studies at a Canadian institution (study permit required for programs longer than 6 months).

– Temporary work visa: Required for individuals with a temporary job offer in Canada.

– Permanent residence: For those who wish to immigrate to Canada permanently through programs such as Express Entry, Provincial Nominee Program, or family sponsorship.

Once your account is created, you will need to prepare the required documents for the visa application. These documents vary depending on the type of visa you are applying for, but generally include:

– Valid passport: Must be valid for the entire duration of your stay.

– Compliant photos: Requirements vary depending on the type of visa.

– Proof of funds: Bank statements or supporting documents showing that you can support yourself during your stay.

– Invitation letter: If you are visiting friends or family.

– Proof of ties to your home country: To demonstrate your intention to return to your country after your visit (employment contract, assets, etc.).

For student and work visas, you will also need to provide:

– Acceptance letter: For a study permit, a letter of acceptance from the educational institution in Canada is required.

– Job offer: For a work permit, a letter of employment from a Canadian employer is required.
